Welcome to my absolution.

For the first post, I’m going to be focusing on the main mode from Tetris the Grandmaster 2 The Absolute Plus, or TAP; Master.

Currently, I’m ranked 17 in the Western Ranking (meaning non Japanese) on TetrisConcept in this mode.

I’d like to improve this.

What seems to currently be the problem is that I’m suffering from two drastic flaws in my play:

• I can’t Tetris consistently in 20G. Yup, beyond level 500 is completely random for me. In some games, I have no problem keeping my stack clean. In some, I’m just hopeless when it comes to focusing on Tetrises.
• I’m horrifically slow. My fastest S9 grade was in 9:42, as shown in the ranking above. In order to achieve M, I’m going to have to work on this. I did, however, make some progress on this front today:

I’ve found that I can play faster, albeit with a much worse grade. What’s been holding me back is that I’ve felt the need to push myself to stack cleanly and in doing so destroyed any chance at playing quickly. From now on, I’m going to emphasize speed with less consideration towards grade-boosting. We’ll see how this works.

Another issue is my inconsistency in section times. I think working on this can come after I gain the ability to finish in under 9 minutes.
